In 2009 at 6 months old, Charlie was diagnosed with the terminal genetic disease SMA type 1. This is our story.
She looks thrilled with the apple! :)
So lovely that she is having this experience. If I was to taste any one food it would be chocolate. I'd be such a happy girl to know that something like chocolate existed. Today I made chocolate butter cream icing for a cake and let my 2 year old lick the spoon, he was delighted by the taste of this. Yum!
she is so beautiful!♥♥♥love and light
Awww, that's so sweet! What a perfect picture!
People can take for granted that children just eat food orally, I never knew about g-tubes before Gemma. We gave Gemma an animal cracker to suck on, it was such a neat experience but we had to worry about crumbs and aspirating. She doesn't know what to make of food but it is neat letting her link and at least experience taste. So I know the joy of what you are posting.Amanda xo
I'm SO happy to know that Charlie is enjoying regular food! That's good news. The pictures are adorable! She's such a sweetie!Linda
