  6. You don't know me, but I found you a long time ago via your Vancouver Sun article. I've got you bookmarked and check in once in a while. Charlie is beautiful. I'm cheering you on from the sidelines. It makes me feel good to see your postings.

  8. Cherie,
Words cannot begin to express what I am feeling after reading your posts. My name is Shelley and someone forwarded me your post after reading a magazine article I wrote. My little guy Henry has an, as of yet, undiagnosed congenital myopathy. He was 2 months old when we first met with a neurologist at BCCH. At the time the dr thought he had either myotonic dystrophy or SMA1. As it turns out the dr was wrong as we still don't know what he has. And we may never, according to Dr Selby our current neurologist.
I cannot begin to imagine the position you are in, but I have been there in my nightmares. Henry faces the world with such determination and grace... it is a sight to behold. And he has more joy than I have every know. I thought of this when reading the story of the little boy at Canuck Place. With all that surrounds him... he is a kid... and kids love to play, however and where ever they can. And it brings tears to our eyes.
thank you for your writing. Our thoughts are with you.
